Catalina Rendezvous in 2008
Greetings
Catalina Fleet Captains and Rendezvous Faithful:
There will indeed be a Catalina Rendezvous in 2008, after we missed 2007. Hopefully, with your help, this one will be a high quality fun get together with lots of participation and make up for having missed out last year.
The date this year is the weekend of October 11 and 12.
The location is confirmed for the Encinal Yacht Club on the Oakland Estuary
Would you please calendar the dates and tell everyone who will listen to you about the event. For the Fleet Captains, please start putting the event dates in your Fleet bulletins and getting the word out to your members. We will develop a preliminary poster with dates and location for handouts at the April Boat Show at Jack London Marina. We plan to have an event planning meeting with all of you sometime in July. I'll get back to you with date, time and location later on.
Fleet Captains: If your Fleet has recently elected a new Captain please let me know his or her contact information so we can get them into the info loop. If you have a fleet member who you would prefer be the primary contact and helping hand from your group, please e-mail me with that contact info. as well.
