Catalina

Judy and I initially found Farallone Yachts by chance. We were interested in a used boat and the Catalina 36 had caught our eye. We found that Farallone had 2 in brokerage at the time, one of which was soon to become our very first boat. Roger Frizzelle could not have been a more helpful and understanding shepherd as we worked through that first purchase. At the time, we had no idea that Roger, his wife Diana and all of the folks at Farallone would soon be some of our best friends. As Farallone customers we immediately became part of the Farallone family”.
It may have been chance that led us to Farallone but it was their attention and support after the sale, along with the great product they represent, that brought us back to them when it was time to move up to a larger boat.
Patty and her staff offer a great product in the Catalina line of sailboats and an even greater product in the form of their personal attention during and after a purchase. When you buy a boat from Farallone Yachts you also get good friends and mentors in the bargain..

Someday
As much as I love sailing, I never thought that I would own a boat. It always seemed much more economically prudent to charter than to own. One New Years Eve I was at a party talking about sailing and a friend asked if I was going to buy a boat. My reply was I didn’t think it was a good investment.
In life we do many things that are not for investments purposes such as get married, have a family, go on vacations etc. However we do get married and we do have children and we do buy boats purely for the joy and happiness they bring to us.
Buying your first boat is simultaneously scary, intimidating and very exciting. There are so many manufactures, different types of sailboats (racing / cruising) different sizes and equipment options, it can get mind-boggling. What’s a boat buyer to do? Find someone that will answer all your questions, not push you into something that is not right for you, but coach on thing that might be beneficial for you individual situation, Roger and Di are the right people to trust when it comes to buying a boat.
It is great working with Roger and Di. The presale service and the post sale service, they are always there for us. We have owned our boat for 3 years, and every time we walk down the dock and see our boat we still get jazzed.
Once the engine if off and the wind is blowing 15+ knots, there is no drug available that will make you feel better than the sailing experience.
We use the boat about once a week; taking out family, friends and it is a great feeling to see others enjoying the experience. When the cost benefit analysis of owning a sailboat is run the joy of sailing your own boat more than out weighs the cost.
You know when you are passionate about your sailboat the cleaning, scrubbing, waxing and polishing just make the whole experience more enjoyable, cause that’s your own boat.
If you would like to experience the joy, we would love to take you sailing.
